How to Transfer Google Photos and YouTube from a School Account to a Personal Account

Unfortunately, you cannot directly transfer Google Photos and YouTube content from a school Google Workspace for Education account to a personal Google account. However, there are some workarounds depending on what you want to keep.

●For YouTube:

●What you can do:

●Download your videos from YouTube Studio, then re-upload them to your personal YouTube account.

○Go toYouTube Studio

○Navigate to Content

○Click the 3 dots on each video > Download

○Sign into your personal account and upload the videos again

●What you can’t do:

●Transfer channel subscriptions, likes, comments, or views

●Move a YouTube channel from one Google account to another (especially if your school restricts it)

● For Google Photos:

○ Use Google Takeout:

●Go toGoogle Takeout

●Select only Google Photos

●Choose your export options and create the export

●Download the data to your device

●Sign into your personal Google account and upload the photos toGoogle Photos

Note: The photos will lose album structures unless you manually recreate them.
